How often should I be working out?
There is an important balance between training too often and not often enough. If you train too often, you can miss out on the muscle gains you'd make during the recovery stage of muscle growth. If you don't train often enough, you'll miss out on the muscle gains from the adaptation stage.
You should train only as often as your need for recovery allows, but research has shown that muscle protein synthesis stays elevated for up to 2-3 days after a workout. This means that you should go at most 2-3 days between training the same muscle group, which we've covered for you with full body training. On the Team Plans, we recommend 4 workout days per week without exceeding 3 days of training in a row.
